“everything’s coming up milhouse!”

YAY things are looking up in the street team department. At an event on Saturday, the founder of the whole art show came and offered to let us have our own space for next month’s annual white linen event. This is a pretty big deal, I’d say. So I was happy about that. I’m very excited to see how our ticket sales turn out this month. I’ve been working for derby non-stop for a few weeks now, so…I really expect to see an improvement. If there isn’t any, I’ll be sorely disappointed.

Also, there are gonna be elections for next season’s committee heads, etc and I thought, “I wonder if anyone would even consider running for street team…?” because everyone keeps telling me that I’ve really brought up the street team, I’m doing such a great job and whatever, which is nice. I feel swamped with all this work, but I’m not going to quit. Hopefully I run unopposed, maybe?

And practice tonight was great. While the Valkyries and Sirens scrimmaged, the rest of us did separate drills on opposite ends of the track. I was paired with DBC for the spuxing and hitting portion. You have no idea (well most of you) what it’s like when a roller derby queen tells you how well you’re doing. YAY.

On the flip side, I have recently gotten in touch with a past acquaintance and blah blah blah. So of course I asked him to come to this month’s bout and he seemed interested at first, but then I never heard back from him. UGH come on, man, you’ll get a military discouuuunt what part of that don’t you understandqwrotigslafj.
