Criminal Mischief – 10/2/11 04:01 hrs – Moody Towers – Jasso – A student broke a fire extinguisher door in the Moody Towers after arguing with his girlfriend. The student received a Harris County citation and referrals. The incident occurred between 04:00 hrs and 04:03 hrs. The case is Cleared by Citation.

Burglary/Sexual Contact – 2/24/11 7:53 a.m. – Moody Towers— A student reported that a male intruder fondled her in her room while she slept. The complainant awoke during the incident and was later able to identify her attacker. An arrest warrant was issued. The incident occurred at 4:55 a.m. 2/24/11.

I think I should set up a separate blog for my UH crime log entries. They’ve got a life of their own.

I’m not sure people really even know about this stuff going on around campus since it’s so irrelevant to the school as a whole and only really matters to the people involved (plus, it’s published in the school newspaper and i don’t see a lot of people reading it). But I think everyone should at least know this stuff is going on around campus, no matter how minuscule…

because it’s so goddamned hilarious.

Criminal Instrument: 7/20/11, 8:13 p.m - Roberston Stadium—An Aramark employee working the concession stand at the Dynamo game was discovered in possession of an external credit card reader (skimmer). The employee later admitted to using the device to copy the credit card numbers of multiple credit cards from unsuspecting patrons. The employee was arrested and released to the Harris County jail.

Asssault, Domestic Violence: 7/7/11, 9:02 p.m.-Cougar Village—A visitor reported that her mother physically assaulted her at Cougar Village Residence Hall.

Unlawful Carrying Weapon: 2:03 p.m. June 18, Cougar Village— A staff member reported that someone stole his unattended and unsecured laptop bag which contained an illegal 8” knife.

Indecent Exposure: 08:55 a.m. June 15, M.D. Anderson Library—A UH DPS security officer working at M.D. Anderson Library observed a man masturbating on the library’s sixth floor. The man, a visitor, was arrested for Indecent Exposure, issued a Criminal Trespass warning and transported to Harris County Jail.
